Wow.. without the $150k for her clothes/makeup/hair, etc... Sarah Palin is lookin ROUGH

Oh.. and...

Obama's "commercial" last night was inspiring and honestly, I can't wait until he's our next president.

After being in DC last weekend (And seeing Obama's motorcade!! though, while stuck in traffic for him in Leesburg...) I really RE-discovered my patriotism. Seeing the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, etc... in person made me so emotional and HOPEFUL for our country. Our core values are still the same -- and I hate that there are some people who want to distort or manipulate those core values. I honestly, truly believe that Obama BELIEVES in the core values. I HOPE that he does EVERYTHING in his power to stay true to those beliefs and values and gets our country back on the right track.

Like I said before, November 4 can't come soon enough. Though, January 20, 2009 will be a glorious day... when Obama is inaugurated.

Change will begin... and I can't wait...

a funny

One sunny day in 2009 an old man approached the White House.
He walked up to the Marine standing guard and said, "I'd like to go in and meet with President Bush."
"Sir, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here."
The old man said "Okay," then walked away.
The following day the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine 'I'd like to go in and meet with President Bush.'
"Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here."
The man thanked him and walked away.
The third day, the old man approached the same Marine and said "I'd like to go in and meet with President Bush."
"Sir, this is the third day in a row that you've been here asking to speak to Mr. Bush. I've told you every time that Mr. Bush is no longer the president and that he no longer resides here. Don't you understand?"
"Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."
The Marine snapped to attention, saluted the old man and said, "See you tomorrow, sir."

I am SO ready for November 4.... well.. maybe even November 5.

So, I realize that I can put up funny videos all day long about Palin... it's just so easy...

But, honestly, deep down...  I don't find it funny at all.

I'm, really, truly FLABBERGASTED... I'm appalled... dumbfounded.... beyond confused and horrified.

I just don't know how we got ourselves here. How, this country, a country I deeply love, could have spiraled SO out of control...

I'm scared.

Truly, honestly, SCARED of what would happen if McCain and Palin got into the white house. As a woman... and as an American.

McCain scares me. Palin scares me more.

If you saw Palin on SNL... and I'm sure all of you have... it was funny. She held her own. But while laughing, I'm thinking... "THIS is who some people want to be our VP??? THIS?!? In her come fuck me boots? THIS?!??!?!?!?!" and found myself laughing, and nearly crying (not laugh til you cry.. but truly, almost in tears) because it's so upsetting to me. It's just SO ridiculous and I find it hard to believe that there are millions of people out there who WANT THIS.

I look at Hillary Clinton and then I look at Palin.. and I just... I'm speechless. I really have no words...

On one hand, I think McCain was brilliant for choosing Palin. She completely shifted the whole election. All the attention went to her... because she's SUCH an oddity... she's a trainwreck  and we've all slowed to watch... And this scares me more than anything -- we've lost sight of what this election is about... what the REAL issues are. I think in the past week or so, it has gotten better. But I'm concerned. Really concerned.

These satirizations of Palin we see everywhere online... on SNL, etc...  ARE funny. They really are. And they're being made because I think so many other people are horrified and aghast at the THOUGHT of Palin being VP -- and could VERY WELL be President if McCain kicks the bucket in office (IF they're elected...) It's just SO absurd.

But it could be a reality if McCain is elected.

Obviously, I'm voting for Obama... and truly believe, if he does what he says he'll do, he could change this country in ways we've only dreamed of until now. I think he could make America someplace we could be proud of again...

Really?? he couldn't have chosen ANY other woman? AN INTELLIGENT woman?!

As a woman, I'm so insulted and embarrassed... and just... COMPLETELY disappointed.

I can't believe anyone in their right mind would vote for McPalin... but I know of a few personally.. and trust me, it's been really hard to keep my mouth shut.

But every time I see her face and hear her voice, i just about what to claw my eyes and ears off...  Why does it feel like it's so obvious to so many people that she's an idiot and completely underqualified?? But then there are others who are SOOOOOOO in love with her?!?!?

Rehab Neighbors

So -- VH1 films Celebrity Rehab literally a block down from our apartment...

and I just looked up to see who was/is there? (I think they stopped filming a week ago or so...)

So, I can actually actually say I used to live next to Rodney King and Gary Busey... and for whatever reason I think that is freaking HILARIOUS.

ONLY in L.A.

Big changes are coming...

ridiculous change.

and I'm scared shitless...

but it's going to be oh so worth it...
